I Go to the Sea to Breathe

This morning I was reading my Bible and thinking, "I really need to go to the beach!" With all the time I have been spending at the theatre, house sitting, and working on my computer, I desperately needed to breathe. Every so often, I'll feel like I'm suffocating so I'll do precisely what I did today. I packed my bags, filled up the car with gas, and high tailed it out of town.

When I got over there, Lincoln City was covered in a fog bank and it stayed mostly to completely cloudy all day. I loved it. I took a long walk along the shore, worked up an appetite for Mo's clam chowder, than found an abandoned fire among the driftwood where I laid down in the fire-warmed sand and fell asleep. I needed the beach today. It cleans me out and refreshes me. I can now face whatever is to come with greater grace.
